A New Chapter

After 8 years at St. Augustine’s in Galveston, I have accepted the call to be the rector of St. Luke’s in Livingston, Texas. It has been a wonderful 8 years in Galveston; a time of rebuilding after Hurricane Ike, a time of bridge building with our Jewish and Muslim brothers and sisters, a time of joy at marriages, births and baptisms, a time of sorrow during illness and death, and a time of wonder as we lived together, prayed together and worked in ministry together. It was... a time of the growth of the community garden of the art ministry of the Seaside Seniors. It is a community of faith whose charism, at its heart, is hospitality, of welcoming the stranger. Mary and I will miss St. Augustine’s and all of the wonderful people we have come to know and love. We have been together in sacred spaces. Our last Sunday will be June 26th, after which I will go on sabbatical to refresh and to a new and exciting ministry at St. Luke’s in Livingston.
